Abstract

‘Built to suit’ or bespoke lease is a long-term lease, in which the landlord builds property under the tenant’s order. Its practice began in the United States and is currently widespread in Brazil, already having a law. Public entities have already adopted it, but for the PCMG and other bodies in the State of Minas Gerais it is a novelty, in the implementation phase for the headquarters of the Patos de Minas Police Department, which is looking for adequate property to provide the public service, compatible with installation/location needs of police units and market value.
